Recent Results With Precip Assimilation

• The reality is that both radar estimates and gage data suffer from low bias during snow

• No sense forcing model towards solution we know is too low (can’t bias correct easily)

• Safest strategy is not to perform precip adjustment when snowing, i.e. let model evolve with no constraint
