For WSR 2007, we increased the total number of ensemble members that are used to calculate the impact of targeted observations from 68 to 111. This includes 51 members from ECMWF and 60 members from NCEP. The Canadian Meteorological Center's ensemble products are still under testing stage. Below is one example showing the Expected forecast error reduction in verification region due to adaptive observation.
